About these terms.

These terms apply to the Ash & Tell mobile application and website operated under the Ash & Tell name by Ash & Tell. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you have questions, contact support@ashandtell.com.

The app provides personal cigar recordkeeping, optional AI-assisted recognition, optional reminders and optional account sync. Public app-store availability is announced through the actual download links when a release becomes available. A "Coming soon" button is not an installation link.

For adults 21 and older.

You must be at least 21 years old to use Ash & Tell and meet any higher applicable local age requirement. Provide accurate information and use the service only where permitted.

Ash & Tell does not sell tobacco, facilitate tobacco purchases, provide medical advice or claim that tobacco use is safe. Tobacco use carries serious health risks. The service is intended for personal recordkeeping.

Accounts and your journal.

You may keep a guest journal on a device or create an account for cloud sync. Keep your login details private. Do not share passwords or verification codes with us or other people. You are responsible for authorized activity on your account.

Guest data can be lost if the app is uninstalled or the device is lost. Account content can only be restored after it has successfully synced. Keep the original device until important entries and photos have uploaded. Features can be affected by connectivity, device permissions, storage limits and service availability.

Your content and permissions.

You retain the rights you have in your journal content. You give us the limited permission necessary to store, transmit, display, sync and process that content to provide the features you request, operate the service and support internal reporting described in the Privacy Policy.

Only submit content you are entitled to use. Do not include someone else's private information without permission. Do not use the app for unlawful content, fraud, abuse, security attacks or attempts to access another person's account or journal.

Ash & Tell branding and application materials are owned by their respective owners or used under their applicable licences. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their owners and do not imply endorsement.

Recognition and AI-written information.

Using recognition sends a framed image or cigar name through our service to Google Gemini. AI matches and descriptions may be incomplete, incorrect or unavailable. Confirm suggested details and independently check information that matters.

AI content is informational. It is not medical, safety or purchase advice, and it does not certify a cigar's identity or authenticity. Do not rely on it to make decisions that could harm you or others. Google's applicable terms govern its processing, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Reminders and availability.

Reminders are optional convenience features. Their delivery can be affected by notification permissions, battery restrictions, device settings and operating-system behavior. They are not safety-critical alarms, and exact delivery is not guaranteed.

We may maintain, change or suspend features to address bugs, security, platform requirements or changes in service availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or perfect recognition. We will provide notices where required by applicable law.

Leaving the service.

You can delete journal records and request account deletion. Follow Delete account for the current instructions. Deleting an account removes its live cloud content; limited retention and offline copies are described in the Privacy Policy.

We may restrict access for a material breach of these terms, unlawful activity or a security risk. Where appropriate and permitted, we will explain the restriction and how to contact us.

Your rights remain.

The service is provided subject to applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided as available without a guarantee of accuracy, uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights, legally required remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Applicable platform terms also apply to downloading and using the app. Apple's standard end-user licence agreement applies to the iOS app unless a replacement is supplied through the store. Any future paid features will need their own clear purchase terms.

We may update these terms. The updated date identifies the current version, and significant changes will be communicated where required. Contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it.
